Eurekahedge launch global real estate private equity database 14/08/2006

Eurekahedge, world's largest independent global alternative research firm, has launched an answer to global investor demand for real estate funds by constructing and placing a specialised private equity database, the Eurekahedge Global Private Equity Real Estate Fund Database and Directory.
The fund comprises of at least 350 specialist real estate funds, which will grow in accordance to the accelerating development of the private equity industry.
According to Kate Colchester, Director of Marketing with Eurekahedge, "There has been a huge growth in interest in global real estate investment vehicles." The information database is a direct response to the accumulating interest and investment in this part of the private equity industry.
Colchester also states that Eurekahedge research shows "Over 70% of the REITs available in the world today have grown out of private equity real estate funds. This specialised private equity universe represents a nursery for investments that over the next 5-10 years will represent a well performing and highly investible universe. Every database we produce brings us closer to our aim of being a globally comprehensive, multi-investment class provider."
The fund database also provides information on individual funds in the database with detailed information on background of fund managers, investment strategy, geographical focus, vintage year, type of financing, underlying investments, net IRR and much more.
